Keira�s mom slams media for anorexia rumours

Keira Knightley�s screenwriter mother, Sharman MacDonald, has hit out at media rumours suggesting her daughter is suffering from anorexia � comparing the press to �playground bullies.�

Knightley has long been dogged by rumours that her waif-like figure is the result of an eating disorder, but she has always denied this � blaming her genes for her naturally svelte figure.

Last year, the 23-year-old successfully sued a British tabloid newspaper for publishing an article that accused her of being anorexic and setting a bad example to young girls.

And the star�s mother MacDonald can�t understand why the media is so obsessed with her daughter�s weight.

She tells British newspaper The Sunday Times, �She�s always been thin. She�s her daddy�s daughter, with his long body.

�It�s a playground situation that we�re looking at with the press � it�s a form of bullying � but what can we do?�

Grace Jones readies comeback album

Grace Jones will release her first studio album in nearly two decades this autumn.

Hurricane, her first collection of new material since 1989's Bulletproof Heart LP, will be released on October 27 on indie label Wall of Sound.

The album, produced by Jones and her partner Ivor Guest, features contributions from Brian Eno and Jones's longtime collaborators Sly and Robbie.

Commenting on the album, Jones said: "Grrrrrrr."

Jones released nine studio albums in the 1970s and 1980s, scoring hits with 'Slave To The Rhythm', 'Pull Up To The Bumper' and a cover of The Pretenders' 'Private Life'.

She is also known for her role in Bond movie A View To A Kill and her notorious appearance on The Russell Harty Show in 1981, during which she slapped the chatshow host across his face.

Shirley Bassey to miss Mandela concert in London

Justin Timberlake Producing New Reality TV Show

Pop star Justin Timberlake has teamed up with TV network MTV to produce a new reality series.

 The singer will serve as an executive producer on a game show called The Phone which is due to air this autumn.

 The programme will feature contestants following instructions on a cellphone and completing a mission to win a cash prize, with MTV comparing the format to a weekly "action-packed mini movie".

Reverend And The Makers triumph at Glastonbury

Reverend And The Makers were greeted by a huge crowd at Glastonbury tonight (June 27) - despite the muddy conditions around the John Peel Stage.

Taking the stage wearing a hoodie and jeans, a mohawked John McClure and his band had the crowd chanting from the opening note.

Starting the set with 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World', despite the sound being rather quiet, McClure bounced around on stage throughout the gig.

Attracting a big crowd, even though the tent space was extremely muddy, the band and their enigmatic frontman proved as entertaining as ever.

Jogging on the spot before launching into 'The State Of Things', McClure whipped the crowd into a singalong frenzy.

Darting from the stage to the front of crowd throughout the set, McClure and his band finished with 'He Said He Loved Me', which saw the band and crowd rocking out through the elongated breakdown.

Juanes Wife In-laws Held Up In Robbery

Colombian pop star JUANES has been left stunned after learning his mother and father-in-law were robbed of valuables in a scary hold-up at their home.

Gun-wielding burglars broke into the Cartagena home owned by actress and model Karen Martinez's parents, while Juanes' wife was visiting her parents and locked all three in a bedroom while they grabbed jewellery, a computer and other valuables.

In total, $6,000 (GBP3,000) was taken in the raid, according to PeopleEnEspanol.com.

The burglars then made off in the family's car.

Local police commander Col. Carlos Ramiro Bravo Mean tells the website, "The three perpetrators have been identified thanks to fingerprints found both in the house and in the family's car, which was recovered after being abandoned."

Neither Martinez nor her parents were hurt in the raid.

Tom Clarke Slams Security At Isle Of Wight

The Enemy frontman Tom Clarke has launched a verbal lashing on the security guards at The Sex Pistols’ Isle of Wight headline performance.



Speaking on a Myspace bulletin Clarke praised the band themselves but couldn’t understand the behaviour of security guards and some members of the crowd.



He wrote: “The sound was spot on, the band were spot on, Rotten was bang on, snarling like it was 1976.



“Everyone around us was steaming, having a mint night. Now, don’t get me wrong, I know security are there for everyone's safety, but the security steward near us was taking anyone dancing aside and telling them to stop.



“No one was allowed on anyone's shoulders, and just as Rotten tried to rouse the crowd and get us to step out of our 'so reserved' British shells and have a good time, some old geezer behind me and Liam (Watts, The Enemy drummer) taps us on the shoulder and tells us to "SSSSSHHHH" because we were singing along to 'God Save The Queen'.



“I wasn't alive in '76, and this geezer was. He probably saw the '60s, when people thought music could genuinely change world politics, and he saw the punk movement tear away from romantic pop slop and say, 'Fuck the rules, fuck the system and lets go and be individual and have a good time'.



“This geezer lived through some of the most important decades of music, politics and society has ever seen and somehow, (he) inexplicably managed to miss the point completely.



“Most of the crowd were top, taking no notice of the over-cautious security staff. But a lot were doing exactly as they were told and were quietly enjoying them.



”HOW CAN YOU ENJOY THE MOST IMPORTANT PUNK BAND EVER, QUIETLY?



“In my humble view this country, and our freedom to have a laff, is being strangled by red tape. Health and safety madness. Dancing is not dangerous. Never was.



“If we can't have fun at a Sex Pistols gig, where are we all meant to go to let off some steam?”
